At Tools and Parts Direct we want you to be absolutely satisfied with our service and the item/s you have ordered every time you shop with us. However occasionally we know you may want to return the item/s you have ordered.

Please read this policy thoroughly before returning any item/s back to us to ensure we get your refund to you as quickly as possible.
Please contact us before making any returns so we can advise you correctly.
PLEASE ensure you tell us as many details of the reason for your return as this will help us to process your refund or replacement much quicker.
When returning your item/s please include a note with your order number, full name, address, phone number to help us contact you in the most appropriate and best way possible.
Your Right to Cancel
You must advise us of your intent to cancel your order within 14 days after the day of receipt via phone (0151 207 1400)or email info@toolsandpartsdirect.co.uk
We will reply within 1 working day to advise you upon the best returns process and address. Please do not return the item until you have heard from us as this causes confusion and slows the process down.
Returned items must be complete, in an unused re-saleable condition and in the original packaging.
We will acknowledge receipt of the returned item by email to your registered email address.
A full refund of the order total will be made by the original payment method within 30 days of the item being received back.
You are responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
Faulty products

If the fault has been reported within 14 days of receipt we will advise our Freepost returns address via email or at our discretion we may arrange to collect or replace the item.
Where an item is returned after 14 days for any reason we will not refund the cost of return postage.
Should an item become faulty after 30 days of purchase but within the manufacturer’s warranty period we will at our discretion offer it to be repaired, replaced (replacement parts), refund or refurbished product.
All replacements are subject to stock availability at the time of processing.
What is not covered:
• Normal wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the operating instructions e.g. blades, brushes, belts, bulbs, etc.
• Accidental damage
• Faults caused by: improper use, abnormal environmental conditions (including frost damage), overloading, insufficient maintenance, careless operation or handling of the product.
• Use of the product for anything other than intended use.
• Change or modification of the product in any way.
• Defects caused by the use of parts or accessories which are not Manufacturer genuine components.
• Faulty installation if applicable.
• Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than PTC Tools or authorised repair agents.
• Claims, other than the right to correction of faults with the product covered by these conditions.
• Slight deviations from the specification that do not affect the functionality of the product
Incorrect Orders

We will arrange to advise our freepost returns address and send a replacement as soon as possible. It is important that you describe the product you have received so that we can send the correctly sized Freepost returns package and correct our stock holdings and avoid another buyer being disappointed.
Item Not Received
Please be aware that we do not offer refunds for items not received unless we are out of stock of that item. Where an item is lost during delivery we will dispatch a replacement product following confirmation from you that you have made some simple checks with your local Royal Mail delivery office.
The above policies do not affect your statutory rights.
Important: - Please ensure that your return is made via an insured and tracked service in case of loss or damage in transit. You should also ensure that you include details of your name, address, phone number and eBay item number.
Free Returns
Where an item has been advertised with 'Free Returns' we will provide you with a Freepost address which you can use to return the item at our cost. Unless faulty, the item must be returned within 14 days after the day of receipt in an 'as sold' re-saleable condition with any packaging/hygiene seals intact.
Refunds will be made by the original payment method within 30 days of receipt.
Freepost service
Where we have advised you of our Freepost address and you choose not to use it we will not refund your return postage costs under any circumstances.
